Elizabeth McCormick
”Elizabeth is a powerfully effective speaker and trainer. Her vulnerability paired with her pragmatic teaching style, is a unique combination that is as dynamic as it is memorable, this translates into every radio show interview she conducts.”
~Scott Tucker, Founder, No Boundaries Business Radio
The host of the Soaring Further Radio Show, Elizabeth McCormick, was a helicopter Pilot for the US Army from 1994 to 2001. From flying UH-1H Huey helicopters in flight school then transitioning to BlackHawk helicopters after Flight School, Elizabeth overcame obstacles to get to flight school and to finish flight school. Then endured physical abuse and stalking at the hands of another pilot while stationed at Fort Drum, New York. Her commander’s solution to that situation? Moving Elizabeth overseas to Germany “for her own safety”. While stationed in Germany, Elizabeth supported Kosovo United Peacekeeping operations as “C’ Company Rear Detachment Commander and sustained a career-ending injury that forced her move back to Dallas, Texas.
Elizabeth soon realized that her injury was a blessing from God, keeping her safe from deployment after September 11th.
After 10 years of healing, emotionally, Elizabeth was ready to share her stories– stories of hope and inspiration as role model, a Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot. Considering Elizabeth grew up so shy she wouldn’t call her own hairdresser, moving into public speaking is another miracle. Elizabeth’s gift of speaking is not a comfortable one. Sharing the pain of her past is not convenient or easy, but is a calling. It is where she is meant to be.
The Soaring Further Radio Show is also a calling. So many good people in this world, with messages of hope, of sharing… how can those messages be shared? And the Radio Show was created to share those messages.
